Hip rehabilitation
Personalized pathways for hip osteoarthritis, femoroacetabular impingement, tendinopathies and post-prosthesis. Multidisciplinary team, advanced technology and environments designed for your recovery.
The hip: the joint that supports us in movement
The hip is one of the most stressed joints in the body: it transfers weight, stabilizes the pelvis and enables every movement, from walking to running, from climbing stairs to standing up from a chair. When it becomes inflamed or stiff, even the simplest daily activities become tiring.
At Basesana we build a tailored pathway based on scientific evidence, combining manual therapy, electromedical technologies and therapeutic exercise, with the goal of getting you back to your best in the shortest possible time.
What we treat
We address all the main hip problems, from acute pain to post-surgical recovery.
Hip osteoarthritis
Groin pain, morning stiffness and difficulty walking for long periods: conservative pathways to reduce pain and maintain mobility and independence.
Femoroacetabular impingement (FAI)
Typical in athletes and young adults: targeted treatments to control pain, recover movement and reduce the risk of joint degeneration.
Tendinopathies and bursitis
Gluteus medius tendinopathy, trochanteric bursitis and lateral hip pain: combined protocols of manual therapy, technologies and exercise.
Post-hip-prosthesis
Progressive recovery after hip replacement surgery: safe walking, strength recovery and a gradual return to daily and sports activities.
The stages of the pathway
A structured four-phase protocol, tailored to you and your goal: to get back to moving, walking and training without pain.
Functional assessment
Physiatric visit and physiotherapy assessment with tests of mobility, strength, walking and gait analysis. When needed, ultrasound support and integrated diagnostics.
Pain and inflammation control
Manual therapy, electromedical technologies (Tecar, high-power Laser, Shockwaves, SIS) and myofascial techniques to reduce groin and lateral pain.
Movement and gait recovery
Joint mobilizations, motor control exercises and gait re-education to restore a smooth, symmetrical walk.
Strength, stability and return to activity
Progressive therapeutic exercise, work on glutes and core, re-education for sport or daily activities in total safety.
Environments designed for your recovery
An innovative facility in the heart of Milan: medical offices, physiotherapy rooms, functional rehabilitation gym and wellness spaces, all integrated into a single pathway.
Medical offices
Physiatric, orthopedic and integrated diagnostic visits.
Physiotherapy rooms
Private, well-equipped spaces for manual therapy and technologies.
Rehabilitation gym
Therapeutic exercise and a safe return to movement.

Advanced technology, real results
We integrate the best electromedical devices available today to accelerate recovery, reduce pain and optimize every session.
High-power laser
Reduces deep inflammation and pain, accelerates regeneration of joint and tendon tissues.
Focused shockwaves
Indicated for gluteal tendinopathies, calcifications and chronic hip pain.
Tecar therapy
Stimulates microcirculation and promotes recovery in deep muscle and periarticular tissues.
Super Inductive System (SIS)
High-intensity magnetic fields for joint pain, neuromuscular recovery and post-prosthesis rehabilitation.
What to expect, honestly
Recovery times vary. A tendinopathy can improve in 4–8 weeks, while symptomatic hip osteoarthritis or post-prosthesis require pathways of 3–6 months. We set realistic expectations together, phase by phase.
Rest and medication are not enough. The hip needs to be "re-educated": without targeted work on mobility, glute strength and motor control, the risk of recurrence and compensation (knee, back) remains high.
Technology accelerates, it doesn't replace. Laser, shockwaves and Tecar are powerful tools, but the real result comes from combining them with manual therapy and personalized therapeutic exercise.
Your pathway is followed by a team. Physiatrist, physiotherapists and athletic trainers work together and discuss your case, choosing the most effective solution every time.
