Shoulder rehabilitation
Personalized pathways for rotator cuff, adhesive capsulitis, dislocations and post-surgery. Multidisciplinary team, advanced technology and environments designed for your recovery.
The shoulder: the most mobile joint in the body
The shoulder is the joint with the greatest range of motion in the human body. This freedom has a cost: a complex and delicate structure, which easily becomes inflamed or stiff when load, posture or movement are not optimal.
At Basesana we build a tailored pathway based on scientific evidence, combining manual therapy, electromedical technologies and therapeutic exercise, with the goal of getting you back to your best in the shortest possible time.
What we treat
We address all the main shoulder problems, from acute pain to post-surgical recovery.
Rotator cuff
Tendinopathies, partial or complete tears: targeted pathways to reduce pain, recover strength and mobility, and avoid chronic issues.
Adhesive capsulitis (frozen shoulder)
Specific treatments to progressively free the joint, reduce stiffness and pain, and restore movement in daily activities.
Dislocations and instability
Recurrent dislocations, antero-posterior instability and SLAP lesions: strengthening and neuromuscular control programs to stabilize the shoulder over time.
Post-surgical shoulder
Progressive recovery after surgery (cuff repair, Bankart, prosthesis): personalized protocols for mobility, strength and return to sport and work activities.
The stages of the pathway
A structured four-phase protocol, tailored to you and your goal: to get back to moving, working and training without pain.
Functional assessment
Physiatric visit and physiotherapy assessment with mobility, strength and stability tests. When needed, ultrasound support and integrated diagnostics.
Pain and inflammation control
Manual therapy, electromedical technologies (Tecar, high-power Laser, Shockwaves, SIS) and myofascial techniques to quickly reduce pain.
Joint mobility recovery
Passive and active mobilizations, scapulothoracic exercises and re-education of the glenohumeral rhythm to restore freedom of movement.
Strength, stability and return to activity
Progressive therapeutic exercise, proprioceptive work and re-education for sport or daily activities in total safety.
Environments designed for your recovery
An innovative facility in the heart of Milan: medical offices, physiotherapy rooms, functional rehabilitation gym and wellness spaces, all integrated into a single pathway.
Medical offices
Physiatric, orthopedic and integrated diagnostic visits.
Physiotherapy rooms
Private, well-equipped spaces for manual therapy and technologies.
Rehabilitation gym
Therapeutic exercise and a safe return to movement.

Advanced technology, real results
We integrate the best electromedical devices available today to accelerate recovery, reduce pain and optimize every session.
High-power laser
Reduces deep inflammation and pain, accelerates tendon tissue regeneration.
Focused shockwaves
Indicated for calcific tendinopathies, chronic pain and deep cuff contractures.
Tecar therapy
Stimulates microcirculation and promotes recovery in deep muscle and tendon tissue.
Super Inductive System (SIS)
High-intensity magnetic fields for joint pain, capsulitis and neuromuscular recovery.
What to expect, honestly
Recovery times vary. A cuff tendinopathy can improve in 4–8 weeks, while adhesive capsulitis or post-surgery require pathways of 3–6 months. We set realistic expectations together, phase by phase.
Rest and medication are not enough. The shoulder needs to be "re-educated": without targeted work on mobility, strength and neuromuscular control, the risk of recurrence and stiffness remains high.
Technology accelerates, it doesn't replace. Laser, shockwaves and Tecar are powerful tools, but the real result comes from combining them with manual therapy and personalized therapeutic exercise.
Your pathway is followed by a team. Physiatrist, physiotherapists and athletic trainers work together and discuss your case, choosing the most effective solution every time.
